Delete my data
Account & data deletion request page · Last updated 27 August 2026
FilMode has no user accounts. You do not sign up, and we do not hold a profile for you. There is therefore no account to delete — but this page explains exactly how to remove everything FilMode has put on your device, and how to ask us to erase the small amount of data that can exist on our side.
App name: Video Editor & Maker - FilMode ·
Developer: FightTech ·
Package name: app.filmode.videomaker
This page is for that package only. Our other app,
ProCut (vn.fighttech.procut), stores its projects separately and
has its
own deletion page.
1. What data exists, and where
| Data | Where it lives | How to delete it |
|---|---|---|
| Projects (clips, cuts, effects) | App private storage on your device | In the app or uninstall |
| Cache, proxies, thumbnails, waveforms | App cache on your device | Clear cache or uninstall |
| Your source footage and exports | Your own gallery / Photos / file system | Delete them in your gallery — FilMode never owned them |
| Support emails you sent us | Our mail provider | Ask us |
| Purchase records | Google Play | Held by Google under its own policy |
Unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing about you — FilMode has no cloud AI and no account, so nothing of yours ever reached a server of ours. Uninstalling the app is complete deletion.
2. Delete individual projects in the app
Open FilMode, long-press a project on the home screen, and choose Delete. This removes the project file and its cached proxies immediately and permanently. It does not touch the original footage in your gallery — that stays where it is.
3. Delete everything from your device
Uninstalling removes all FilMode projects, settings and caches. Exported videos you already saved to your gallery remain, because they are yours.
Cache only: Settings → Apps → FilMode → Storage & cache → Clear cache. This throws away proxies, thumbnails and waveforms; your projects stay and the app rebuilds what it needs.
Everything: Settings → Apps → FilMode → Storage & cache → Clear storage, or long-press the app icon → Uninstall. Either one removes every project, setting and cached file the app created.
4. Ask us to delete server-side data
Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", from the address you contacted us from. The only data we can hold is that correspondence itself.
Because there is no account, we cannot look you up by name — the email address you write from is the only identifier we have, which is also why we will only act on a request sent from that address.
Timeline. We acknowledge within 5 working days and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by GDPR and comparable laws. We do not charge for this and we will not ask you to justify the request.
5. What we keep, and for how long
After a deletion request we may still retain:
- Purchase and tax records — for the period accounting law requires. These come from Google Play and contain no video content.
- Aggregated, non-identifying crash counts — these cannot be linked back to you and cannot be selectively deleted.
Everything else is erased, including backups, within the deletion window.
6. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, so uninstalling FilMode or deleting your data leaves an active subscription renewing. Cancel it in Play first — step-by-step instructions.
Questions about any of this: [email protected]. The full detail of what we process and why is in the Privacy Policy.
